FSU Preview And A Tad Of Schadenfreude

A quick one this morning as I have a few things to do before I drink beer all day. Florida State managed to hold off Wake Forest and their reward is a legitimate shot at an NCAA bid. Considering all of the bubble teams that lost yesterday, the Seminoles have to like their chances if they can get a big win today. Also a bit worrying is that Jason Rich clearly does not want to play his last game. He’s been tearing it up and I imagine he’ll have something left in the tank for us. All of that said, I don’t think we’ll have too many problems. FSU is not very deep and all five starters played over 30 minutes. Tony Douglas played 38 and Rich played 37, so perhaps that will show in the second half today. If we show up and protect the basketball, we should win comfortably.

Carolina March has English as a 12 point dog. Robbi Pickeral says Carolina is serious. Home Runs are bad. Worst penalties ever. Cash cup draw.

Finally, Sidney Lowe is an ass. Now, maybe Gavin Grant meant 4 squared when he talked about expected losses in November but clearly it was Lowe, not Grant who wasn’t ready. To give the Senior only thirteen minutes when he is absolutely one of their three best players is f8cking terrible. That State team has issues other than coaching for sure, but his team got worse as the season progressed. It is going to be very sweet watching that program completely go down in flames over the next few seasons as they support Clemson.

  1. Dealing with that many minutes for players like Rich and Douglas has been an issue all season long. Maybe fatigue will be an issue. Who knows since this game is the next day. It’s not like FSU’s players aren’t used to it by now.

  2. Happy State Fans. Herb took you to 5 straight NCAA appearances. Now you have a coach you can’t even get you into the NIT. So you homophobes are going to start cheering for Clemson now?
